Biography
Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi served as President of Yemen from 2012 to 2022. Born in 1945 in Abyan, he was elected president in a single-candidate election following the Arab Spring protests. His tenure was marked by the Houthi takeover of Sana'a in 2014 and the subsequent civil war. He resigned in April 2022, transferring power to a presidential council.
