Biography
Mimar Sinan (1489-1588) was the chief Ottoman architect and civil engineer for sultans Suleiman the Magnificent, Selim II, and Murad III. He is responsible for over 300 structures, including the famous Suleymaniye Mosque and Selimiye Mosque. His work defined Ottoman architecture and influenced building design for centuries.
