Biography
Saad Zaghloul (1859-1927) was an Egyptian revolutionary and politician who led the Egyptian Revolution of 1919 against British occupation. He founded the Wafd Party and became Prime Minister of Egypt in 1924. Born in Ibrahimia, Zaghloul is considered the 'Father of the Egyptian Nation' and March 9 is celebrated annually as Saad Zaghloul Day in Egypt.
